Exciting growth for the organic industry was revealed during the insight Q&A panel session at this year’s Naturally Good Expo.
Naturally Good Expo is Australia’s ONLY business event 100% dedicated to supporting and fueling the natural, organic and healthy products marketplace.
As the largest event for healthy retailers, brands and practitioners in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the place where serious buyers meet with suppliers for two days of business, networking, education and to celebrate the latest exciting opportunities within the health and wellness retail market. Australian Organic once again had the pleasure of representing the organic industry at the expo this year.
Along with meeting many exhibiting certified organic operators and other industry members, we also had the opportunity to present the findings from our 2019 Australian Organic Market Report.
These findings included noting that even though consumer awareness of the benefits of natural, organic and healthy is at an all-time high, it remains critical to keep up with shifting perceptions, attitudes and behaviours, to know where opportunities lie for the certified organic industry and how to take advantage of them. We unearthed growth areas both locally and in the global marketplace, and explored the main discussion points regarding consumer priorities for certified organics and how operators can position their businesses for the future.
Moderated by US industry legend,T im Sperry, our Q&A panel session was a popular event with over 100 people in attendance. Dr Andrew Monk, Director of Australia’s leading industry body, Australian Organic Limited, along with Nick Bez from Mobium Group & the newly appointed General Manager of Australian Organic Niki Ford, took a deep dive into the state of the organic industry with consumer trends, challenges and opportunities as the main focus for the presentation.
