After 15 years of being in the organic business, Anni Brownjohn, founder of OZGANICS and mum of two, noticed how very few options there were for quick, healthy, savoury snacking solutions. With the belief that everyone should be able to indulge in an organic snack, she set herself the goal of providing one!
Annie says, “It has been a long journey in our kitchen to develop an organic alternative that is both delicious and healthy. The challenge was to make the salsas a ‘guilt-free’ indulgence for our customers.”
With this in mind, she took out the sugar, reduced the salt and added more organic goodness with tomatoes and a delicious array of organic herbs.
The result? An award-winning ‘OZGANICS No Added Sugar Organic Salsas’ that took out ‘Best New Product’ at this year’s Food Magazine Awards.

RECIPE: BIG SALSA DIPPER
- 1 cup of OZGANICS Mild Salsa
- 250g quart of cream cheese
- 1 small red onion
- 2 tomatoes – finely chopped – seeds removed
- 1 small red capsicum – finely diced
- 1 small Lebanese cucumber – finely diced – seeds removed
- Fresh chives
Spread the cream cheese over a large, round serving plate.
Sprinkle the finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum and cucumber evenly over the top.
Drizzle the salsa over the top of the vegetables.
Garnish with chopped chives.
Serve with corn chips, crackers or oven toasted Lebanese bread.
