August, 2015: This week not-for-profit organisation Australian Organic has released the list of celebrities that have put their hands up to support the annual celebration within the certified organic industry; Australian Organic Awareness Month celebrated next month (September).

“We have been overwhelmed with the response that we have received from local celebrities who wanted to get involved” comments Australian Organic CEO Paul Stadhams, “we are thrilled to be officially announcing our ambassadors”.

This year’s ambassadors (who are donating their time to promote the campaign) are joining current Australian Organic ambassadors Pete Evans, Costa Georgiadis and Therese Kerr.

The newest ambassadors include Australian household name, author of ‘Trim & Tone with Tania’, health and wellness mentor Tania Zaetta, McLeod’s Daughters actress Zoe Naylor, Hi 5’s Dayen Zheng, Vanessa Megan founder of Vanessa Megan beauty products, The Beauty Chef’s Carla Oates, The Healthy Chef Teresa Cutter, Adele McConnell the voice of, Brenda Janschek from Brenda Janschek Health and Lifestyle, CEO and founder of Amazonia Dwayne Martens, Integrative & Preventative (GP) health expert at Sydney Integrative Medicine Dr Claudia Lee, health expert Dr Sarah Lantz and Chiropractor and CEO of Healthspace Dr Kate Wood.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Australian Organic Awareness Month” comments newest ambassador Tania Zaetta, “because nothing is more important to me than living a healthy, natural life. Raised in the country and growing up spoilt for choice with farm fresh produce, dairy and meats, combined with my Natural Beauty Therapy qualifications in health and nutrition means I know all the benefits for your body of choosing certified organic products. I always turn to certified organic produce for my cooking and can’t wait to let others know about the amazing choices available to them.”

“My partner and I began the journey towards an organic lifestyle five years ago” says Zoe Naylor. “We wanted to experience 100% health and vitality, it was an absolute no brainer to incorporate certified organic products into our lives. After having my baby girl I also wanted to ensure that I was nourishing her and our whole family with foods and products that are better for their wellbeing”.

“We are now on a mission to live more sustainably, become more self-sufficient and live off the grid” continues Naylor, “We involve ourselves in many practices that help us cultivate emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellness. If I can raise awareness for certified organic and encourage people to embrace a more organic, holistic lifestyle by being an ambassador, then I’ll be a happy woman!”

Zoe will be the face of a CSA (Community Service Announcement) campaign for Australian Organic currently in production and due for broadcast throughout September.

The Australian Organic Awareness Month campaign first launched in 2014 and was incredibly effective with most certified organic sectors seeing a significant increase in consumer awareness and interested in certified organic products.

“The rise of support we saw with certified organic products was fantastic” comments Joanne Barber, CMO for the campaign, “with a lot of our retailers, producers and farmers getting more and more requests for their products”.

The organic industry is worth over $1.72 billion to the Australian market.

This year’s list of ambassadors has more than doubled and with an increase in consumer research into the certified organic market, the campaign is set to reach new heights this September.
