We closed off Australian Organic Awareness Month with a cooking show. The Travelling Kitchen’s Karen Koutsodontis joined us at Heidelberg Primary School in Melbourne on Friday October 31, to teach the year 5 and 6 students how to make healthy, organic vegetable fritters.
Thanks to Joel and his bakers at Zeally Bay Sourdough the fritters were enjoyed with freshly baked certified organic bread rolls.
We also aired the final episode of the four part mini series on Yahoo!7’s healthyMEtv and ran the last promotion on Try It, Rate It across the LifeStyle Food channel.

We reached over 98,000 with one competition alone! Australian Organic and Loving Earth were thrilled to offer The Raw Food Kitchen audience the chance to be the lucky recipient of one of these amazing Loving Earth Packs valued at $80 (pictured).
Each week introduced a new focus, we shared engaging stories from our sponsors about the important part they all play in the organic industry. We have seen health and wellness tips from our Australian Organic Awareness Month goodwill ambassadors, delicious organic recipes, updates on how retailers are getting involved, plus links to the great media the month has created.
During organic skincare and cosmetics week our Organic Feminine Hygiene Day was welcomed with great interest and we were lucky enough to sit down with Aimee Marks of TOM Organic for some real insight about why organic tampons and other personal hygiene products.
Thanks to our Facebook competition we had one lucky winner of $1000 cash and four runner ups taking home a jam-packed organic hamper. The competition encouraged shoppers to try at least one certified organic product they haven’t tried before. We have been delighted to hear about the organic products you love and get a real feel for why certain products are so important to you and your family.
We are close to 12,500 followers on Facebook, with just under 3,000 being added in October alone (a 33% increase). We reached an audience of 354,900 people with our content and 20,200 people engaged directly with the page and clicking on stories, viewing videos, commenting on posts, sharing content and interacting with us.
